Sure, you can de-bone a chicken, but can you catch and kill one? Didn't think so! Not so hot now, are we?
What does de-boning entail? Did you buy the chicken whole, so you had to separate everything out to be cooked apart? If so, why would you do that instead of buying the pieces already separated? Is it fresher?
I debone it whole so that I can stuff it and roast it. See the previous post for more on that.
No, I cannot catch and kill a chicken, but I am working on it. :-)
